      2010 Annual Conference General Information

Conference Registration
Participants may register for the Annual Conference online by clicking here. CSF MEMBERS: When registering online, you must log in as one of the individuals registering for the conference. Much of the registration form will auto-populate. Note that when logged on, you may register yourself and any guests you may have. While online, you may also register colleagues and/or co-workers from your foundation. After completing the registration process online, you will have the option to "Register Another Participant." Please call CSF with any questions. If you do not wish to register on-line, a printed registration form may be downloaded here and sent to CSF via mail, fax or email.

Hotel Rates and Reservations
The standard room rate is $135/night plus tax. Lodge rooms are $144/night plus tax. Hotel reservations may be made online by clicking here. The online reservation system has been pre-populated with CSF's reservation code for a standard room.

When making hotel reservations for the annual conference, please note that all reservations require a credit card guarantee. The Vail Mountain Resort requires that the full, non-refundable, amount of the room & tax for the entire stay be billed on September 7, 2010 to the credit card given. If a reservation is cancelled after September 7, 2010, the individual will forfeit the full amount of the reservation for all nights reserved.

All no-shows will be charged the entire length of stay (room & tax). If a late arrival is anticipated, we encourage contacting the hotel so that reservations will not be canceled for all remaining reserved nights. Any early departures will forfeit all remaining room nights room & tax charges.

Please consider that, if you elect to postpone making hotel reservations until after the reservation due date of September 7, 2010, reservations will be subject to room and rate availability. After September 7, 2010, the Vail Mountain Resort will not guarantee the discounted room rates listed above.

Travel to Vail
Airports
• Eagle County Regional Airport - is just off I-70 in the western part of Eagle County. From here it is a 30 minute drive to Vail Village by rental car, or shuttle service.
• Denver International Airport (DIA) - is just off I-70 northeast of Denver so plan on a minimum of two hours (in good weather) to drive from DIA to Vail. It is served by all major US airlines and several commuters. Rental cars as well as van and limo services are available to the Vail Valley.

• The Town of Vail Transit Department provides free year-round bus service throughout Vail. In fact, the town's bus service is considered to be the largest free transportation system in the country offering its residents and guests timely service to and from Vail Mountain and throughout town. Conference Meals and Events
The following meals will be provided to full registrants of the conference:
Thursday: Lunch and Evening Reception
Friday: Breakfast Buffet, Lunch & After Dinner Dessert Bar
Saturday: Breakfast Buffet

Individual Meals: For guests who are not registered for the full conference, individual meals may be purchased. You may register guests in advance using the conference registration form. Click here to access the printed form or here to access the online registration form.

Conference No Solicitation Policy
This conference is not intended to be an opportunity for solicitation of any kind, including solicitation for business, fund management, or grants.

Conference Eligibility and Who Should Attend
Those eligible to attend the conference include: trustees and staff of grantmaking organizations, community foundation fund donors, individual donors, and representatives of corporate giving programs.

Spouses/Guests
The spouse/guest registration fee includes full conference participation and all meals and breaks provided during the conference. Only spouses and guests NOT affiliated or employed by a foundation are eligible for the Spouse/Guest Rate.

Conference Attire
Business casual attire is encouraged. Please check the local weather prior to traveling to Vail.

Continuing Professional Education
CSF has received approval to offer up to 19 hours of continuing professional education credits for breakout sessions as indicated (some sessions offered concurrently). Attendees wishing to earn the CPE credit must indicate their intent on the conference registration form and pay an additional $25 registration fee. Certificates of Attendance will be distributed at the end of each session indicated in the final program. Please know that while these sessions offer an opportunity for those in need of continuing professional education to earn credit, these sessions are open to anyone interested in the topic. Attendees need not be a CPA, attorney, or in a position of financial oversight to attend.

The Conference of Southwest Foundations is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attorneys who wish to earn Continuing Legal Education credit hours must indicate their intent on the conference registration form and pay the $25 administration fee. Certificates of Attendance will be distributed at the end of each of the designated sessions. Sessions identified with the CLE icon have been submitted to the Texas State Board of Continuing Legal Education for approval.

Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professionals who wish to earn continuing education credit hours must indicate their intent on the conference registration form and pay the $25 administration fee. Certificates of Attendance will be distributed at the end of each of the designated sessions.

Annual Conference Bookstore
CSF will offer an on-site bookstore featuring publications by annual conference speakers and books on other topics related to philanthropy. Bookstore hours of operation will be posted during the annual conference. Watch for information in your conference materials about book signings by conference presenters!

Conference Refund Policy
Refunds will be issued, minus a $50 processing fee, for cancellations received on or before September 10. No refunds will be given after September 10. Substitutions from the same organization are always accepted with no change fee. Contact CSF if you are in need of a refund or substitution.
