Game Changers: Legislative & Regulatory Update

The times, they are a changin'. And it's vital to understand just how. New and pending laws and tax rules affect your foundation at the federal, state and local levels. Get a handle on the outlook of legislative activity for the rest of the year, and the probability of tax reform in the 112th Congress.

The discussion will include an update on what's happening in Washington, D.C., now—in Congress and in the regulatory arena of the IRS and Treasury. You'll also learn how engagement with policy-makers can be valuable and a game changer for your foundation.

This session will last 100 minutes and is designed to provide 2.0 hours of continuing education credit to Certified Public Accountants.
This course has been approved by the State Bar of Texas for 2.0 hours of CLE credit and may qualify for CLE hours with other state bar associations.

Speaker: Andrew C. Schulz, Vice President of Legal Services and Public Policy, Council on Foundations, Arlington, VA

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
Session Designer: Josie Burke

It's one of the first questions we ask when considering a grant request—how strong is this organization's leadership? In this session, we'll turn the tables and allow you to ask—what kind of leader am I? What are my strengths? How can I improve? How can my staff work better together?

This eye-opening journey will be based on your individual results from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment. The MBTI assessment is the best known, scientifically backed personality tools available today. Note: Participants will complete the MBTI before the session and then must be present in the session to explore their results. $25 fee required by the testor in advance to complete the assessment. CALL THE CSF OFFICE TO REGISTER FOR THIS SESSION!

Speaker: Cathy O. Robbins, Vice President, El Pomar Foundation, Colorado Springs, CO
